Account health, quotas, reset cards and credits
Find why supply is unavailable and distinguish querying, consuming reset cards and read-only credits.
Unavailable can have several causes
Inspect authorization, credentials, Worker, exit, quota and account eligibility. Matching one request's model, price and private scope is a separate decision.
| Signal | Action |
|---|---|
| Expired access token | Check official renewal for local mode; managed refresh for hosted mode |
| Invalid refresh token / reauthorization | Reauthorize the same account |
| Keychain permission needed | Authorize explicitly when ready to synchronize |
| Worker/egress unavailable | Check Worker, online Partner and proxy |
| Quota exhausted / protection reached | Query quota, wait for renewal window or review limits |
| Source changed / taken over | Check login identity and maintenance ownership |
Do not use a different account's credentials as a “repair”.
Recent failures
Partner Recent failures concern supply; User local diagnostics concern consumption. Align time, account and request ID. Different-stage 400/403 responses can describe different errors. Fix current credential renewal problems first, then observe updated request results.
Quota and scheduled refresh
Manual quota refresh reads state; it does not replenish a subscription. “Estimated refresh” in account authorization refers to access-credential renewal, not quota recovery, and outages/retries can delay it. For local synchronization, the official CLI renews credentials and the Client then synchronizes the access credential.
Check the quota window's reset time to know when capacity recovers. Valid credentials and available quota are independent conditions; credential refresh does not replenish usage. Unknown values are not unlimited quota. Subscription routing does not automatically spend extra paid credits.
Query versus reset
Query reads remaining uses/cards/expiry. Reset can consume a card and change upstream limits. Read confirmation before using one. Ineligible, not limited, cooling down and no-card states have different remedies. For an unconfirmed result, query before retrying.
Codex credit display is read-only upstream account information, not the PrimeRouter wallet. Displayed points do not authorize automatic paid fallback. Verify restored eligibility, quota and subsequent requests after repair.
